Optum Real Prior Authorization API
With the Real Prior Authorization API providers can determine prior authorization requirements, gather required documentation and submit authorization requests in real time. This centralized, FHIR® based API helps providers identify when prior authorization is needed, capture necessary clinical information, and submit and track requests with status updates, supporting CMS 0057 F compliance.
Through a single, centralized API, providers can access claim information in real time, including:
- Interoperability API built on FHIR
- Coverage Requirement Discover (CRD)
- Documentation Templates and Rules (DTR)
- Prior Authorization Support (PAS)
