Product Overview
Prior Authorization API is a public API that accepts prior authorization inquiry and submission requests in the standard form of EDI X12 278X215 and EDI X12 278/217 payloads, formatted in JSON for HTTP request, and returns EDI-X12 payer response to the consumer. Our API makes prior authorization inquiry and submission more accessible to developers and allows providers systems to expand their functionality while efficiently return the payer status accurately.
Getting Started
Before you try our APIs, generate an authentication token using your client_id and client_secret. To learn more about securely using our APIs, see Prior Authorization Security and Authorization in Onboarding with Prior Authorization API . Most of our APIs are private and require credential to gain access.
